DMCA Counter-Notification Process

If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice, and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. This is your opportunity to state your case. A valid counter-notification must include specific information.

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal. Include the specific URL(s) from signaturellc.org.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original claimant. We typically wait 10-14 business days before restoring the content unless the claimant files a court action. If no court action is filed, the content may be restored.
